Management Report
We have developed a standard Management Report framework that uses data from the Perform! Benchmark activity based data capture exercise and the Cultural Readiness Diagnostic exercise. We incorporate results based on certain considered assumptions like the impact of implementing Best Practice improvement opportunities. The Management Report sets out an action plan for change whether you just wish to implement a few productivity improvements within your existing structure or wish to use the opportunity presented by the analysis exercise to justify a move towards Shared Services.
The Management Report incorporates
- Executive Summary setting out key findings, issues and next steps
- Objectives
- Scope of Study
- Summary of Improvement Opportunities with Quantified Savings
- Detailed & Summarised activity based analysis supporting the findings
- Productivity, unit cost and total cost analysis
- Comparison against available internal or external benchmarks
- Detailed notes from discussions with employees to support the findings
The Best Practice Roadmap for change provides a bank of ideas for improvement that may include a move towards Shared Services. The Report is a useful reference document to revisit from time to time to see if changes implemented in due course actually achieve the expected savings. Our approach is always highly participative with on the ground interviews aimed at capturing the team’s ideas too. If permitted, we ideally engage people doing the work to validate the contents of the Management Report as they will need to “buy-in” to the changes that would impact on them when implemented. We typically identify around 35 - 40% savings opportunities during this analysis exercise so payback on the cost of the exercise is rapid.
